 Garlic Butter Prawns


Here’s a simple recipe to make garlic butter prawns:

Ingredients:

  • 500 g prawns (peeled and deveined)

  • 4 tbsp butter

  • 4 to 5 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste.

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Prawns: If the prawns aren’t already peeled and deveined, make sure to do so. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

  2. Heat the Pan: In a large pan, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat.

  3. Sauté the garlic: Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant (but be careful not to burn it).

  4. Cook the prawns: Add the prawns to the pan in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the prawns turn pink and opaque.

  5. Once you have cooked the prawns, add the remaining butter and lemon juice to the pan. Stir well to coat the prawns in the sauce.

  6. Garnish: Turn off the heat and sprinkle chopped parsley over the prawns (optional).

  7. Serve the prawns hot with lemon wedges on the side. They go great with rice, pasta, or crusty bread to soak up the garlic butter sauce!
