Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

How To Make chocolate-dipped strawberries

Here’s a quick and easy recipe for making chocolate-dipped strawberries:

Ingredients:

  • 1 pint fresh strawberries (about 16–20 strawberries)

  • 8 oz. semi-sweet or dark chocolate (chopped or in chips)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter (optional, for a smoother chocolate texture)

  • Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles, or a drizzle of white chocolate.

Instructions:

  1. Clean the strawberries, rinsing off dirt and moisture, then blot them dry. Strawberries keep moisture, preventing chocolate from adhering.

  2. Melt the chocolate. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate and the optional coconut oil or butter. Microwave in 20–30 second intervals. Stir after each until you melt the chocolate and it is smooth. Or, you can use a double boiler to melt the chocolate. Place a heatproof bowl over simmering water.

  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem. Submerge it in the melted chocolate, rotating to achieve uniform coverage. Let the excess chocolate drip off. If you want to add toppings like crushed nuts or sprinkles, do so before the chocolate sets. Sprinkle them over the chocolate-covered strawberries.

  4. Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Let them sit at room temperature for 30 minutes. Or, refrigerate them for 15 minutes to set them faster.

  5. Optional decoration: To add a drizzle of white chocolate, melt some in the same way. Then, use a fork or piping bag to drizzle it over the chocolate-covered strawberries.

  6. Serve. Once the chocolate is set, enjoy your strawberries!

Tips:

  • Serve the strawberries within a few hours of dipping to ensure freshness.

  • If storing, keep them in the fridge. Don't leave them too long as the chocolate may sweat.

These make a perfect treat for any special occasion or a delicious snack!
