 Chinese Chicken Soup



Ingredients:

  • 500g of whole chicken, cut into pieces

  • 1 liter of clear chicken broth

  • 200g of shiitake mushrooms, sliced

  • 100g of carrots, julienned

  • 100g of ginger, sliced

  • 2 stalks of green onions, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce

  • Salt to taste

  • 100g of fresh cilantro for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Large pot

  • Sharp knife

  • Chopping board

  • Ladle

  • Measuring cups

Instructions:

  • In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.

  • Add the chicken pieces to the boiling broth, then reduce to a simmer.

  • Add the ginger and let it simmer for about 20 minutes to infuse the flavors.

  • Stir in the shiitake mushrooms and carrots, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.

  • Season with soy sauce and salt to taste, simmering for another 5 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
