Chinese Chicken Soup
Ingredients:
500g of whole chicken, cut into pieces
1 liter of clear chicken broth
200g of shiitake mushrooms, sliced
100g of carrots, julienned
100g of ginger, sliced
2 stalks of green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
Salt to taste
100g of fresh cilantro for garnish
Kitchen Tools Needed:
Large pot
Sharp knife
Chopping board
Ladle
Measuring cups
Instructions:
In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
Add the chicken pieces to the boiling broth, then reduce to a simmer.
Add the ginger and let it simmer for about 20 minutes to infuse the flavors.
Stir in the shiitake mushrooms and carrots, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
Season with soy sauce and salt to taste, simmering for another 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and stir in the chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
