 BBQ Chicken Sandwiches



Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)

  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce

  • 2 whole wheat sandwich buns

  • 1/4 cup sliced red onions

  • 1/4 cup sliced pickles

  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Grill

  • Mixing bowl

  • Forks

  • Tongs

  • Knife

  • Cutting board

Instructions:

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

  • Grill the chicken breasts on a preheated grill for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.

  • Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes.

  • Shred the grilled chicken using two forks and mix it with BBQ sauce in a bowl.

  • Toast the sandwich buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.

  • Assemble the sandwiches by placing the BBQ chicken on the bottom half of each bun.

  • Top with sliced red onions, pickles, and shredded lettuce.

  • Cover with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
