Grilled Chicken Burger

 Grilled Chicken Burger

Ingredients:

  • 500g of ground chicken

  • 4 whole wheat burger buns

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon of onion powder

  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 1 cup of lettuce leaves

  • 1 tomato sliced

  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • grill pan

  • mixing bowl

  • spatula

  • measuring cups

  • knife

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly integrated.

  • Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, ensuring they are slightly larger than the burger buns since they will shrink while cooking.

  • Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly grease it if necessary. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach an internal temperature of 75°C (165°F) and have a nice grill mark.

  • During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the pan to melt the cheese.

  • While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the whole wheat buns on another side of the grill or in a toaster for extra flavor and texture.

  • Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun, adding the lettuce, then the cooked chicken patty with melted cheese, followed by tomato slices. Close with the top bun.

  • Serve the burgers hot with your favorite sides.
