Butter Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of softened butter and 1/2 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
Add 1 large egg to the mixture and beat until well combined.
Gradually add 1 cup of all-purpose flour to the mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Scoop small amounts of dough and shape them into balls, then place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork.
Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool before serving.
