Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread (preferably thick-cut)

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • Maple syrup for serving

Instructions:

  • In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.

  • Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter, allowing it to melt and coat the pan.

  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are well coated.

  • Place the coated bread slices onto the skillet and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.

  • Remove from the skillet and serve warm with maple syrup.
