Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup dark rum

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Skillet

  • Long lighter

  • Spoon

  • Ice cream scoop

Instructions:

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

  • Add the brown sugar and cinnamon, stirring until the mixture is smooth and bubbly.

  • Add the sliced bananas and cook for about 1-2 minutes until they are tender.

  • Carefully add the dark rum and ignite with a long lighter to flambé, allowing the alcohol to burn off for about 30 seconds.

  • Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  • Serve the warm banana mixture over scoops of vanilla ice cream.
