 Cinnamon rolls with caramel icing



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of wheat flour

  • 1/4 cup of sugar

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup warm milk

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

  • 1/2 cup liquid caramel (for the glaze)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Knife

  • Baking tray

  • Spatula

Instructions:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

  • In a large bowl, mix the flour, sugar, salt and cinnamon.

  • Add the warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth.

  • Knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.

  • Roll out the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.

  • Sprinkle the brown sugar and chopped walnuts over the rolled-out dough.

  • Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other and cut into 8 portions.

  • Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet and let rest for 10 minutes.

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before glazing with the liquid caramel.
