Tuna Salad
Here's a simple recipe for making Tuna Salad:
Ingredients:
2 cans of tuna (in water or oil, drained)
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
One stalk of celery, cut into small pieces
One-quarter cup of red onion, cut into small pieces.
1 tablespoon pickle relish (optional)
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley or dill, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients:
Drain the canned tuna.
Cut celery and red onion into small pieces.
Chop fresh parsley or dill into small pieces.
Combine the ingredients:
In a medium bowl, add the drained tuna, breaking it up with a fork.
Add the mayonnaise. Add the Dijon mustard, if using. Add the chopped celery and red onion. Add the pickle relish, if using, and lemon juice.
Mix all ingredients well until you combine them.
Season:
Taste the tuna salad and season with salt and pepper to your liking.
Add chopped fresh parsley or dill if desired and mix again.
Serve:
Serve the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, with crackers, or in a wrap.
