 Tuna Salad



Here's a simple recipe for making Tuna Salad:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of tuna (in water or oil, drained)

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

  • One stalk of celery, cut into small pieces

  • One-quarter cup of red onion, cut into small pieces.

  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley or dill, chopped (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ingredients:

    • Drain the canned tuna.

    • Cut celery and red onion into small pieces.

    • Chop fresh parsley or dill into small pieces.

  2. Combine the ingredients:

    • In a medium bowl, add the drained tuna, breaking it up with a fork.

    • Add the mayonnaise. Add the Dijon mustard, if using. Add the chopped celery and red onion. Add the pickle relish, if using, and lemon juice.

    • Mix all ingredients well until you combine them.

  3. Season:

    • Taste the tuna salad and season with salt and pepper to your liking.

    • Add chopped fresh parsley or dill if desired and mix again.

  4. Serve:

    • Serve the tuna salad on a bed of lettuce, in a sandwich, with crackers, or in a wrap.
