 Savory Slow-Cooked Pork Roast





Ingredients:

  • 500g of pork shoulder

  • 200ml of chicken broth

  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 tsp of dried thyme

  • 1 tsp of paprika

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

  • 2 carrots, sliced

  • 2 potatoes, diced

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Crock Pot

  • Measuring Cups

  • Cutting Board

  • Knife

Instructions:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the pork shoulder on all sides until browned.

  • Place the seared pork shoulder in the crock pot.

  • In the pan, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until fragrant and translucent. Add to the crock pot.

  • Pour the chicken broth over the pork and add dried thyme and paprika.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste and add the sliced carrots and diced potatoes on top of the pork.

  • Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded with a fork.
