Gourmet Cheese Sandwich




Ingredients:

  • 4 slices of whole grain bread

  • 4 slices of cheddar cheese

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 1 medium tomato, sliced

  • 1/2 cup of fresh spinach leaves

  • 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Frying pan

  • Spatula

  • Knife

  • Cutting board

Instructions:

  • Heat the frying pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter to melt.

  • Spread the remaining butter on one side of each slice of bread.

  • Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the frying pan.

  • Layer two slices of cheddar cheese on top of the bread in the pan.

  • Add the sliced tomato and fresh spinach on the cheese, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.

  • Top with the other two slices of cheddar cheese and place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side up.

  • Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip carefully with a spatula and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.

  • Once both sides are golden and the cheese has melted, remove from heat and let it cool for a minute before slicing.

  • Serve the sandwich warm, cut in half.
