Gourmet Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients:
4 slices of whole grain bread
4 slices of cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons of butter
1 medium tomato, sliced
1/2 cup of fresh spinach leaves
1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Kitchen Tools Needed:
Frying pan
Spatula
Knife
Cutting board
Instructions:
Heat the frying pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter to melt.
Spread the remaining butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Place two slices of bread, buttered side down, on the frying pan.
Layer two slices of cheddar cheese on top of the bread in the pan.
Add the sliced tomato and fresh spinach on the cheese, then sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Top with the other two slices of cheddar cheese and place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side up.
Cook for about 3-4 minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip carefully with a spatula and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes.
Once both sides are golden and the cheese has melted, remove from heat and let it cool for a minute before slicing.
Serve the sandwich warm, cut in half.
