 Spicy Chicken Masala with Potato



Ingredients:

  • 800g of chicken (cut into pieces)

  • 500g of potatoes (cubed)

  • 200g of maida (all-purpose flour)

  • 6 cloves of garlic (minced)

  • 1 large onion (chopped)

  • 2 medium tomatoes (chopped)

  • 100g of tomato ketchup

  • 2 tsp of garam masala

  • 1 tsp of red chili powder

  • 1 tsp of cumin powder

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for frying

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Knife

  • Cutting Board

  • Pot

  • Pan

  • Spatula

  • Measuring Cups

  • Measuring Spoons

Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a pot and sauté chopped onions until golden brown.

  • Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute until fragrant.

  • Add chicken pieces to the pot and cook until they start to brown on all sides.

  • Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.

  • Add all the masala powders (garam masala, red chili powder, cumin powder) and salt; mix well.

  • Cover and cook on low heat, allowing the chicken to cook through.

  • In a separate pan, boil the cubed potatoes until tender and drain.

  • Once the chicken is cooked, add the boiled potatoes to the chicken mixture and mix gently.

  • Finish with a drizzle of tomato ketchup for extra flavor, and mix well.

  • Serve hot with rice or bread.
