Gouda and Bacon Breakfast Sandwich
A warm, toasted sandwich filled with crispy bacon, creamy Gouda cheese, and fluffy scrambled eggs. Perfectly seasoned and layered between a buttery croissant or hearty artisan bread, this savory breakfast delight is an irresistible way to start your day.
Ingredients:
2 slices of Bread
3 strips of Bacon
1 medium Onion, diced
2 cloves of Garlic, minced
100g of Gouda Cheese, shredded
2 large Eggs

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
In a pan on the stove top, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving the fat in the pan.
In the same pan with the bacon fat, sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until soft and fragrant.
While the onions are cooking, beat the eggs in a bowl and then scramble them in the pan until just set.
Toast the bread in the oven for 2 minutes until lightly golden.
Assemble the sandwich by placing the sautéed onions and garlic on one slice of toast, followed by the bacon, scrambled eggs, and then top with Gouda cheese. Place the second slice of toast on top and press down gently.
