 Roast Chicken with Sweet Potatoes and Spinach



Ingredients:

  • 500g chicken

  • 200g sweet potatoes

  • 100g fresh spinach

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • roasting pan

  • knife

  • cutting board

  • aluminium

  • kitchen brush

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).

  • Peel and cut the sweet potatoes into cubes.

  • In a bowl, toss sweet potatoes with 1 tablespoon olive oil, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Arrange the sweet potatoes in the roasting pan and roast in the oven for 20 minutes.

  • Meanwhile, prepare the chicken by brushing it with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

  • Place the chicken on top of the sweet potatoes in the roasting pan and continue to cook for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.

  • Halfway through cooking, add the fresh spinach to the chicken in the dish so that it cooks slightly with the heat.

  • Once the chicken and vegetables are cooked, remove from the oven and let stand for a few minutes before serving.
