Mushroom Swiss Burger
Ingredients:
2 hamburger buns
200g of ground beef
100g of mushrooms, sliced
50g of Swiss cheese, sliced
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Lettuce leaves for garnish
Kitchen Tools Needed:
Skillet
Spatula
Knife
Cutting Board
Instructions:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for about 5 minutes until they are golden and tender. Season with salt and pepper.
While the mushrooms are cooking, form the ground beef into two patties and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
In another skillet, cook the beef patties over medium heat for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty and cover the skillet briefly to melt the cheese.
Toast the hamburger buns lightly if desired.
To assemble the burgers, place lettuce leaves on the bottom half of each bun, add the beef patty with melted Swiss cheese, and top with the sautéed mushrooms. Close the burger with the top half of the bun.
