 Spiced Chai Latte



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk

  • 2 cups of water

  • 4 black tea bags

  • 2 cinnamon sticks

  • 4 cardamom pods

  • 4 cloves

  • 1 inch ginger (sliced)

  • 2 tablespoons of honey

  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Saucepan

  • Whisk

  • Strainer

  • Measuring Cups

  • Mugs

Instructions:

  • In a saucepan, combine the water, cinnamon sticks, cardamom pods, cloves, and sliced ginger. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

  • Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes to steep the spices.

  • Add the black tea bags to the saucepan and continue to simmer for an additional 2 minutes.

  • Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the mixture into a bowl to discard the spices and tea bags.

  • Return the liquid to the saucepan and add the milk, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk together over low heat until warmed through and combined.

  • Pour the spiced chai latte into mugs and serve hot.
