 Vanilla Ice Cream



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Mixing bowl

  • Whisk

  • Ice cream maker

  • Airtight container

  • Spatula

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar is dissolved.

  • Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.

  • If desired, fold in mini chocolate chips during the last few minutes of churning.

  • Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours to firm up before serving.
