 Oatmeal with banana and cinnamon



Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats (40g)

  • 1 medium banana (118g)

  • 1 cup water or milk (240ml)

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (1g)

  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (21g)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional, 10g)

  • Pinch of salt

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Saucepan

  • Measuring cups

  • Measuring spoons

  • Spoon for stirring

Instructions:

  • In a saucepan, bring the water or milk to a boil.

  • Add the rolled oats and a pinch of salt to the boiling liquid.

  • Reduce the heat to medium and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are soft and have absorbed most of the liquid.

  • While the oats are cooking, slice the banana.

  • Once the oats are cooked, remove from heat and stir in the ground cinnamon and honey or maple syrup.

  • Top the oatmeal with the sliced banana and chopped nuts if using.

  • Serve warm and enjoy your Banana Cinnamon Oatmeal!
