Stir-Fried Shrimp with Broccoli and Bell Peppers

Ingredients:

  • 400g shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 200g broccoli florets

  • 150g bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce (low sodium)

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Large skillet or wok

  • Spatula

  • Measuring spoons

  • Cutting board

  • Knife

Instructions:

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  • Add the minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Add the broccoli and bell peppers, stir-frying for about 4-5 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

  • Return the shrimp to the skillet with the vegetables.

  • In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch (if using). Pour this sauce over the shrimp and vegetables, stirring to combine.

  • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly and coat the shrimp and vegetables evenly.

  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
