Cinnamon Ice Cream,

Here's a tasty recipe for Cinnamon Roll Ice Bliss Ice Cream. It blends cinnamon roll flavors with creamy ice cream.

Ingredients:

For the Ice Cream Base:

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • ¾ cup sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 4 large egg yolks

  • Pinch of salt

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

  • ¼ cup unsalted butter

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons water

  • Pinch of salt

Optional: Cinnamon Roll Bits

  • 1 or 2 store-bought cinnamon rolls (or homemade if you prefer), chopped into small chunks

Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Cinnamon Swirl

  1. Melt the Butter: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

  2. Add Brown Sugar and Cinnamon: Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, water, and a pinch of salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sugar dissolves and forms a thick sauce. Remove from heat and let it cool.

  3. Set Aside: Keep the cinnamon swirl at room temperature while you prepare the ice cream base.

Step 2: Make the Ice Cream Base

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Heat it. Stir over medium heat until the mixture is hot but not boiling.

  2. Whisk the Egg Yolks: In a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolks until pale and smooth.

  3. Temper the Eggs: Slowly add a small amount of the hot cream mixture to the egg yolks, whisking constantly. Gradually add more until about half of the cream is mixed into the yolks.

  4. Cook the Custard: Pour the egg mixture back into the saucepan with the remaining cream. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Stop when it thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.

  5. Add Vanilla Extract: Remove the custard from heat. Stir in the vanilla extract. Then, cool it to room temperature.

Step 3: Chill and Churn

  1. Chill the Mixture: Cover the custard and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours or overnight.

  2. Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the chilled custard into your ice cream maker. Then, churn it per the manufacturer's instructions (usually 20-30 minutes).

Step 4: Add Cinnamon Swirl and Roll Bits

  1. Layer the Ice Cream: Once the ice cream reaches a soft-serve consistency, stop churning. In an airtight container, spoon in a layer of the churned ice cream, then drizzle the cooled cinnamon swirl sauce over it. Repeat in layers until all the ice cream is in the container. You can also gently swirl the mixture with a spoon for a marbled effect.

  2. Optional – Add Cinnamon Roll Bits: If using cinnamon roll pieces, fold them into the ice cream while layering.

Step 5: Freeze and Serve

  1. Freeze: Transfer the container to the freezer and let the ice cream freeze for 4-6 hours or until firm.

  2. Serve: Scoop out your Cinnamon Roll Ice Bliss Ice Cream. Enjoy its creamy, spiced goodness with swirls of cinnamon and soft cinnamon roll bits!

This ice cream captures the essence of a freshly baked cinnamon roll in a cool, creamy treat!
