 Onion Samosa



Ingredients:

  • 2 medium onions, finely chopped

  • 200g of all-purpose flour

  • 50ml of water

  • 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds

  • 1 teaspoon of garam masala

  • 1 teaspoon of red chili powder

  • Salt, to taste

  • Oil, for deep frying

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Frying Pan

  • Mixing Bowls

  • Rolling Pin

  • Sharp Knife

Instructions:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and set aside for 10 minutes.

  • In another bowl, heat a tablespoon of oil and add cumin seeds. Once they start to crackle, add the chopped onions and sauté until they are golden brown.

  • Stir in garam masala, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for another 2 minutes and then remove from heat.

  • Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into thin circles.

  • Place a spoonful of the onion mixture in the center of each circle. Fold and seal the edges to form a triangle shape.

  • Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Deep fry the samosas until they turn golden brown on all sides.

  • Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve hot with chutney.
