Rosemary & Thyme Potato Chips

Rosemary Chips & Thyme Potato

Here's how you can make Rosemary and Thyme Potato Chips at home:

Ingredients:

  • 2 large russet potatoes

  • 2 tablespoons of fresh rosemary, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons of fresh thyme, finely chopped

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Sea salt to taste

  • Black pepper, to taste.

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prepare the potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly.

    • Using a mandoline slicer or a sharp knife, slice the potatoes into very thin, even slices (about 1/8 inch thick).

  3. Season the Potatoes:

    • In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, ensuring they are evenly coated.

    • Add the chopped rosemary and thyme, then season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. Mix well to ensure even distribution of the herbs and seasoning.

  4. Arrange on Baking Sheets:

    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    • Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the baking sheet, making sure they don't overlap.

  5. Bake the Chips:

    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven.

    • Bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chips are golden brown and crispy. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the slices.

  6. Cool and Serve:

    • Remove the chips from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet.

    • Once cooled, they will become even crispier.

  7. Enjoy:

    • Serve your Rosemary & Thyme Potato Chips as a snack or a side dish. Enjoy the fresh herbs' aroma and the crunch of homemade chips!

Tips:

  • If you prefer extra crispy chips, you can flip them halfway through the baking time.

  • For added flavor, sprinkle some grated Parmesan cheese over the chips. Do this just before serving.
