 Cornmeal Cake with Guava




Ingredients:

  • 200g cornmeal

  • 100ml of oil

  • 3 eggs

  • 150g guava jam

  • 10g de baking powder

  • 50g of powdered milk

  • 100g margarine

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Oven

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a mold with margarine and sprinkle with cornmeal.

  • In a bowl, mix the cornmeal and powdered milk. Set aside.

  • In another bowl, beat the margarine with the oil until you get a smooth cream.

  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  • Add the cornmeal and powdered milk mixture to the dough, mixing gently.

  • Add the baking powder and mix gently until combined.

  • Pour half of the batter into the greased pan.

  • Cut the guava jam into cubes and spread over the dough in the pan.

  • Cover with the remaining dough and smooth the surface.

  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
