Classic French Macarons
Ingredients:
100g almond flour
100g powdered sugar
75g egg whites (about 2 large eggs)
100g granulated sugar
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
Food coloring (optional)
Filling of choice (buttercream, ganache, or jam)
Kitchen Tools Needed:

Piping bag

Parchment paper
Oven
Instructions:
Sift together almond flour and powdered sugar into a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk egg whites until foamy, then add cream of tartar and gradually add granulated sugar while whisking until stiff peaks form.
Fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites gently until the mixture flows like lava and is shiny.
If using, add food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.
Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe small circles onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Let the piped macarons sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes until a skin forms on the surface.
Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F) and bake the macarons for 12-15 minutes.
Let them cool completely before filling with your choice of filling.
